This years event has been scaled down due to the overlapping budget when the event was moved.

Financial report
11 paid members, 9 flower baskets, the Secretary of state 2008 registration for Domestic Non-Profit corporation fee has been paid and will be due again in September. The Country Garden Nursery will need to be paid after the Sand Castle Contest.

Sand Castle T-shirt design
Arland was paid for his work on the 07 Logo, and has consented to one more shirt for the 30th anniversary. Tom presented the artwork for the shirts. He is lining up sponsors, but last years shirt design left off one of the sponsors, so we will be comping that one this year.

We will be needing volunteers for the event (Aug 2) and It is time to start getting the prizes together for the event. Ed will talk to Parks and Recreation about free 1 day passes for the community center, they went over well last year.

Again this will be a food drive event, and donations of food for the entry fee.

Time to renew membership, join, or sponsor a flower pole -- Linda will be rounding up people to get involved in BAMA. If you would like to be included in the Member page of our web-site she has the contact information you need. Also many of the application forms are here online.

Roundabouts report
Stephanie is working on the celebration of honor the last weekend of September. The roundabouts are proposing to try a fundraiser to pay for the flags by taking out the bushes which are actually blocking the view of the memorial on 51st. and sponsoring bricks to pave the area. They are still searching for a flag to replace the tattered one. Stephanie will be approaching the city about this.

From last month:
Any suggestions, or volunteers, BAMA would like to do something for the Vets during the celebration of honor. The Roundabouts are thinking of doing the children's booth again, with games and kite making, does anyone else have a suggestion? Tom mentioned that the Flag could be changed and wondered if anyone knew where to get another flag. Ed asked if the State still gives away flags, They would like to have a rededication ceremony.

Last chance to check your business information on the TAFT walking map
It is time to make sure that your information is accurate both on the Web and the walking Map. Please check online to verify that your data is correct. We would like to have the Map printed before the season begins. JB made some suggestions that we get ads for the back of the Map.
